Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with recreating that iconic “Legends of the Fall” movie poster. You know, the one with Brad Pitt looking all broody and majestic? Yeah, that one.
Getting Started
First, I needed to find a good base image. It wasn’t about finding an exact match, more like something with the right vibe. I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through stock photos of dudes in nature. Seriously, there are a lot of those.
The Edit
Once I picked my photo, I opened it up in my usual editing program. Nothing fancy, just something I’m comfortable with. The real work began with adjusting the colors. I wanted that warm, golden-hour feel, you know? So, I played around with the saturation and temperature sliders until it felt right. Kind of hazy, a bit dreamy.
Then I have added some vintage effect on it.
Adding Text
Next up was the text, I have found classic font that I think will be suitable for this poster.
I typed in “Legends of the Fall” in a similar font – I think I nailed it pretty close! – and positioned it at the bottom.

Then, I added some additional text such as the casts.
Finishing Touches
I have spent around 30 minutes just for picking the stock photo, playing with color, finding the right fonts, and adding some finishing touches. Finally I think that I have already recreated the vibe of that poster!
