This is based off a true story by the way the real handler was killed by taliban sniper fire in 2009
I attended a police funeral where the dog had this same behaviour at the handler's coffin. It's not Hollywood. Dogs are intelligent, emotional beings, like us. God bless the fallen and everyone else willing to risk their lives so that others may live.
