Well, howdy there! You wanna know about movies like that Croods: A New Age flick? I reckon I can tell ya a thing or two. My grandkids, they love them moving pictures, always yappin’ about ’em. So, I’ve seen a few, ya know, sittin’ with them young’uns.
Movies Like That Croods, Ya Know, Family Stuff
Now, if you liked that Croods movie, with all them cave people and such, you might like some others. Lots of ’em are about families, just like the Croods. They stick together, even when things get tough. Like that movie, uh… Tangled Ever After, I think it was called. It was short, but sweet, kinda like them little candies the kids like. And there’s this Strange Magic one too. My granddaughter, she just loved the singing in that one. Lots of fairies and goblins, all kinds of creatures.
These movies, they’re all kinda…wholesome, ya know? Good for the young’uns. No shootin’ or fightin’ too much, just good stories about folks carin’ for each other. Ain’t that nice?

More Cartoons, ‘Cause Them Young’uns Love ‘Em
Now, there are a whole heap of other cartoons out there, some older, some newer. They ain’t all exactly like the Croods, but they got that same kinda feel. You know, funny animals, adventures, and all that jazz. I can’t recall all their names, but there’s a bunch on them… Net… somethin’… and on that Apple TV thingy the kids watch. They got all sorts of movies on there, cartoons, and some with real people too.
One movie, it wasn’t no cartoon, but it was kinda like the Croods. It was called Early Man. It was about cavemen too, but they was playin’ some kinda game with a ball. It was pretty funny, even for an old gal like me.
Finding Them Movies, It Ain’t Hard Nowadays
Finding these movies ain’t like it used to be. Back in my day, you had to go to the picture show, and that was it. Now, these young’uns, they just tap on their little phones or their computery things, and poof! Movies everywhere. They got this thing called… Am-a-zon, and another one, I-Tunes, I think. They got more movies than I got chickens in my coop, I tell ya! You can find all sorts of stuff on there, just gotta type in what you’re lookin’ for. Or ask one of them young’uns, they know how to do it better than me, that’s for sure.
Why Folks Like Them Croods-Type Movies
Now, why do folks like these movies anyway? I reckon it’s because they’re fun, ya know? They make you laugh, and they make you feel good. They ain’t too serious, and they got pretty colors and such. And they’re about family, like I said before. Families stickin’ together, that’s important. Even them Croods, they had their squabbles, but they always looked out for each other. Just like real families, I guess. Sometimes they fight like cats and dogs, but when push comes to shove, they’re there for each other.
The Second Croods Movie, Was It Any Good?
Now, about that second Croods movie, A New Age, they called it. Some folks liked it, some didn’t. My grandkids, they thought it was just fine, but they like anything with bright colors and loud noises, ya know? Me, I thought it was okay. It was pretty to look at, but I don’t know, somethin’ was missin’. Maybe it was the story, or maybe I’m just gettin’ too old for this stuff. The folks that made the movie, they said they wanted to make it different, but still keep the feel of the first one. They changed things up a bit, made the world bigger, added new characters. I ain’t complainin’, but it just didn’t hit me the same way, ya know? But hey, that’s just my opinion, what do I know? I’m just an old woman who likes her stories simple and sweet.
