You know, I just saw this movie, The Lizzie McGuire Movie. That girl, Lizzie, she’s a funny one. Reminds me of my granddaughter, always getting into some kind of trouble. But it got me thinking, are there other movies like The Lizzie McGuire Movie? I sure would like to see some more like it. So, I did a little digging, like digging for potatoes, you know? And I found a whole bunch!
Movies Like Lizzie
First one I saw mentioned was something called Agent Cody Banks. Sounds like some kind of spy thing. Probably more for the boys, but hey, maybe Lizzie would like it. That one came out in 2003, same year as Lizzie’s movie. Seems like 2003 was a good year for movies, like a good year for corn.
Then there’s this Cheaper by the Dozen. Now that sounds like something I can relate to. Having a big family, it’s like herding cats, I tell ya. Lots of mouths to feed. This one also came out in 2003. I tell you what, they sure made a lot of movies like The Lizzie McGuire Movie back in the day, just like when everyone was growing soybeans that year.
And get this, there’s a Cheaper by the Dozen 2! They must have really liked that first one, just like when you find a good recipe, you make it again and again. This one came out a bit later, in 2005. Still close enough, like when you plant your tomatoes next to your peppers.
More Movies, More Fun!
Oh, and this one sounds like a fairy tale, A Cinderella Story. Every girl loves a good Cinderella story. I remember when I was a little girl, I used to dream of a prince coming to sweep me off my feet. Never happened, but a girl can dream, can’t she? This one’s from 2004, just like the corn harvest that year, if I remember right.
Raise Your Voice, that’s another one. Sounds like it’s about singing. I used to sing in the church choir, you know. Not that I was any good, but it was fun. This one also came out in 2004. These movie folks, they sure are busy, like bees in a hive.
And here’s a funny one, The Perfect Man. Ain’t no such thing, I can tell you that! But I guess it’s fun to watch a movie about it. This one was in 2005. They sure are trying to find movies like The Lizzie McGuire Movie. I tell you what, there’s plenty of good ones. Just like when you go to the market, there’s plenty of good apples to choose from.

That Lizzie movie, it made a lot of money, you know. Something like 17 million. That’s more money than I’ve ever seen! Just goes to show, people like these kinds of movies. Just like how everyone likes a good pie at the county fair.
