They even got that popcorn that smells so good, but it costs too much, if you ask me. Still, the kids love it. My grandson, Billy, he can eat a whole bucket by himself!

Now, about those movie times, you gotta check when they’re showing the movie you wanna see. I don’t know how you do that these days. Used to be you’d just look in the newspaper. But I guess everything’s on those phones now. You young folks and your phones, always looking at them.
They show movies all day, I think. Morning, afternoon, and even late at night. So you can go whenever you want. I guess that’s good if you’re busy during the day. Me, I like to be home by dark. Don’t like driving at night anymore. My eyes ain’t what they used to be.
But I remember one time, my daughter, she took me to see a movie in the evening. It was one of those love stories. Not my cup of tea, but she liked it. We had a good time, just the two of us. It was nice. She even bought me some of that expensive popcorn. It was worth it, I suppose.

I heard they got those comfy seats now, the ones that lean back. That sounds pretty nice. Maybe I’ll try it again sometime. But I’ll have to bring earplugs. It’s just too darn loud for me. And maybe I’ll sneak in my own snacks. Don’t tell anyone, though!
Sometimes my neighbor, she goes there and she always tells me what she saw and if it is good. She likes those ones with the singing. She went last week and said she saw a good one, with a lot of songs. She was tapping her feet the whole way home!
There is also that ice cream place right next to it. It is good, I have been there a few times. Last time I was there, I got a big cone with two scoops. It was too much for me, but I ate it all anyway. It is a nice treat after watching a movie, especially if it is hot outside.

You know, they say watching a New Buffalo movie is a good way to relax. Just sit there in the dark, forget about your troubles for a while. I guess that’s true. Life can be hard sometimes. It’s good to have a little escape now and then.
I remember when I was a little girl, we didn’t have a movie theater in our town. We had to go to the next town over. It was a real treat. We’d all pile into someone’s car and make a whole day of it. Times were simpler then.
So yeah, that movie theater in New Buffalo, it’s a good thing for the town, I suppose. Gives people something to do. Keeps the kids out of trouble. And it’s nice to have a place to go on a rainy day. Especially in MI, where it rains so much sometimes!
