Well, ain’t this something, talkin’ ’bout them picture shows in that New Martinsville place. Now, I ain’t been there myself, but I hear tell they got these movie places where you can sit and watch them big stories play out. Them movies, they’re somethin’ else, ain’t they? How do you find out what’s playin’? Well, they got this thing called “showtimes”, tells ya when the pictures start. You can look ’em up online, they say, on that Fandango thing. Or just give ’em a ring, I suppose. They gotta tell ya what they’re showin’, ain’t they?
When you go to these picture shows, they got them big screens, right up front. Projector, they call it, throws the pictures up there big as life. And the sound, oh the sound! Comes out from all over the place, makes ya feel like you’re right there in the story. They say it’s been like that since the 70s, all this fancy sound stuff.
