Okay, so I got curious about “movies filmed on Jekyll Island” and decided to dig in. Here’s how it went down:
My Little Jekyll Island Movie Hunt
First, I fired up my trusty search engine. I just typed in “movies filmed on Jekyll Island” – nothing fancy.
The results started popping up. I noticed a few familiar titles, and some I’d never heard of. I started clicking through a few of the results, just to get a feel for what was out there.
I grabbed a pen and paper (yeah, I’m old school like that) and started jotting down the movie titles that looked interesting. I also made notes about where on the island they were filmed. Some websites had that info, some didn’t, so it was a bit of a mixed bag.
Then, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be cool to see some stills or clips from these movies?” So I went over to a video-sharing site and typed in some of the movie titles. I found a few trailers and behind-the-scenes stuff, which was pretty neat. It really gave me a better sense of how the island looked on film.
I also stumbled across some blog posts and articles written by people who had visited Jekyll Island because of the movies. They shared their experiences and photos, which was awesome. It’s always cool to see how other people connect with a place.

After a while, I had a pretty good list going. I organized it by movie title, and added little notes about each one. For example:
- Movie Title 1: Noted the locations, beach scenes were nice.
- Movie Title 2: Looked up the director, found their other movies.
- Movie Title 3: Watched a clip, island setting very prominent.
It wasn’t exactly rocket science, but it was a fun little project. Now I have a list of movies to check out, and I feel like I know Jekyll Island a little bit better, even though I’ve never actually been there! I might plan a trip someday.
