Okay, so I was on a total horror movie kick the other day and I got to thinking about Ouija: Origin of Evil. That movie seriously creeped me out, but in a good way, you know? So, I wanted to find more movies like it, and I dove headfirst into that project.
First, I grabbed my laptop and fired up my web browser. My go-to search engine is usually Google, so I typed in “movies like Ouija Origin of Evil.” Simple enough, right?
The results page popped up, and wow, there were tons of suggestions! I started clicking through some of the top results – mostly articles and list-type things like “Top 10 Movies to Watch If You Loved Ouija 2.” That kind of thing.
I jotted down some of the movie titles that kept coming up. You know, to get a feel for what other people thought were similar. I saw a lot of mentions of The Conjuring movies, Insidious, Oculus, and a few others I hadn’t heard of.
My Watchlist
- The Conjuring – Okay, I have to admit I watch them before.
- Insidious – Seem like everyone’s saying this movie is a good one.
- Oculus-Never seen it.
- Some other new movies.
Then I went to some movie review websites.I like to see the audience scores, not just what the critics say. Sometimes those critics are way off!
After all that searching and reading, I made a list of movies that seemed like they’d fit the bill. I wanted movies with that same kind of creepy, supernatural vibe, maybe with some possession stuff going on. Bonus points if it had a good story and wasn’t just jump scares.
So, that’s how I ended up with my little movie list. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure there are other great movies out there, but it’s a good starting point. Now,I just need to make time to watch my list. Mission accomplished…for now!
