Well, let me tell ya ‘bout this here movie, “Kung Fu Panda.” I ain’t no fancy movie critic, but I know what I like, and this here panda, Po, he’s somethin’ else.
First off, this Po fellow, he’s a big ol’ panda, clumsy as a newborn calf, but he loves kung fu more than a pig loves mud. He works in his daddy’s noodle shop, dreamin’ of fightin’ alongside them big-shot kung fu masters. You know, the kind that jump around and kick high? Yeah, them.
The Story, As I See It
So, the story goes like this: They gotta pick this “Dragon Warrior” fella, supposed to be the best kung fu fighter around. Everybody thinks it’s gonna be one of them fancy tigers or monkeys or somethin’. But wouldn’t ya know it, this clumsy Po, he falls right smack-dab into the middle of the ceremony and gets picked! Can you believe that? It’s like pickin’ a hen to guard the henhouse, but hey, that’s what makes it interestin’.
Now, this ain’t just any kung fu movie. Sure, they got all the fightin’ and flippin’ and whatnot, but it’s funny too. Like, really funny. Po, he’s always fallin’ and stumblin’, makin’ a fool of himself. But he’s got a good heart, that one. And he tries real hard. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
Trainin’ and Fightin’
So, this grumpy old red panda, Master Shifu, he’s gotta train Po. And let me tell ya, that ain’t easy. Shifu, he don’t think Po’s got what it takes. He tries to make Po quit, but Po, he’s stubborn as a mule. He keeps tryin’, even when he gets knocked on his butt, which happens a lot, by the way.
- Po learns a lot.
- He learns to be strong.
- He learns to believe in himself.
And that’s a good message, I reckon. You don’t gotta be perfect to be good at somethin’. You just gotta keep tryin’ and believe in yourself. That’s what my old man always used to say, bless his heart.
The Bad Guy and The Big Fight
Now, every good story needs a bad guy, and this movie’s got a real mean one. Tai Lung, a snow leopard with muscles bigger than my head. He’s escaped from prison and wants to get this Dragon Scroll, which is supposed to give you all the power in the world or somethin’. He’s a real piece of work, that Tai Lung.
So, it all comes down to Po fightin’ Tai Lung. And let me tell ya, that fight is somethin’ else. It’s fast and furious, with punches and kicks flyin’ everywhere. Po, he gets beat up pretty bad, but he don’t give up. He uses his…well, let’s just say he uses his “panda power” to win. It’s kinda silly, but it works. And that’s what matters, ain’t it?
What I Liked and What I Didn’t
I liked that this movie is funny. It made me laugh out loud a few times, and that ain’t easy to do, let me tell ya. I also liked that it’s got a good message. It teaches you that you can do anything if you put your mind to it, even if you’re a big, clumsy panda. And it’s got good action, too. The fight scenes are exciting, even for an old lady like me.
Now, I ain’t got much to complain about, but if I had to pick somethin’, it’d be that some of the fightin’ was a bit too fast for my old eyes. And maybe that Tai Lung fella was a bit too scary for the little ‘uns. But overall, it’s a good movie, a real good movie.
Final Thoughts
So, if you’re lookin’ for a movie that’s funny, action-packed, and got a good message, then “Kung Fu Panda” is the movie for you. It’s good for the whole family, even your grumpy old grandpa. He might even crack a smile or two, you never know. And that is why I give Kung Fu Panda movie a big thumbs up. It ain’t perfect, but it’s darn good, and that’s good enough for me.
Why folks should watch this “Kung Fu Panda” film:
- It’s funny: Like I said, it made me laugh, and I ain’t laughed that hard since the rooster got into the pantry.
- It’s got heart: Po’s a good fella, and you can’t help but root for him.
- It’s got action: The kung fu fightin’ is somethin’ else.
- It’s got a good message: Believe in yourself, and you can do anything.
So go on, watch it. You won’t be disappointed. And if you are, well, don’t come cryin’ to me. I already told ya what I think. Now go on, git!
