Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to find some movies that give off the same vibe as “I Feel Pretty.” You know, something that’s fun, empowering, and maybe just a little bit silly? So, I started digging around.
First, I hit up some of the usual spots like Netflix and Amazon, just browsing their “recommended for you” sections, based on my watch history, “I Feel Pretty” was in there. That didn’t really get me very far, though. Mostly just showed me other movies with Amy Schumer, which is fine, but I wanted something a little different.
Then, I tried searching on Google directly, like, “movies similar to I Feel Pretty.” That gave me a few more options. I saw some movie called “27 Dresses.” I remember that one! It’s a classic, the vibe is kinda like “I Feel Pretty”.

I also stumbled upon this website called Letterboxd. They listed a bunch of movies that were supposedly similar. 63, to be exact! That’s… a lot. I started looking through them, but honestly, the descriptions were kind of all over the place. And there were a ton of foreign films, which I’m not opposed to, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for at the moment.
I even checked out some articles, like, one from BuzzFeed, I think? They had a list of “comfort movies,” which was kind of close to what I wanted. It mentioned stuff like “My Fair Lady” and “The Sound of Music.” My grandma loved those! They’re good, but not really similar to “I Feel Pretty,” I don’t think.
Oh, and I found this other site, Filmaffinity. It’s like a social network for movie lovers, you rate films and get recommendations and stuff. I looked up “I Feel Pretty” there, but the recommendations were kind of… meh. Nothing really stood out to me.
So far, I’ve added a couple of movies to my “to watch” list, like “Wonder Woman,” which I’ve actually seen before, but it does kind of fit the bill, I guess, in terms of a strong female lead. But overall, my search hasn’t been super successful. There are not a lot of good recommendations. But you know what? I’m not giving up! There have to be more movies like this one out there, right?
