Alright, so listen up, y’all. I heard some folks talkin’ about somethin’ called “Netflix” and some woman named Kamala Harris. Don’t rightly know who they are, but seems like a big to-do, so let me tell you what I gathered.
Seems like this Netflix thing, whatever it is, gave a whole heap of money to Kamala Harris. Now, some folks say she’s runnin’ for somethin’ big, like president or somethin’. Don’t know why anyone would want that job, sounds like a whole lot of headaches to me.
Anyways, this Netflix, they got some big shot, a fella named Reed Hastings, I think. He’s the one who gave Kamala all that money. Now, people are gettin’ their feathers all ruffled up about it. They sayin’ it ain’t right, that Netflix shouldn’t be messin’ in politics. Well, I say, if a man wants to give his money away, that’s his business, ain’t it? But I reckon folks always gotta find somethin’ to complain about.
- Some say it’s a “huge donation”, a whole lotta money.
- Others say it ain’t true, that it’s all just lies spreadin’ around like wildfire.
- And then there’s those who say Netflix stock went down because of it. Don’t know what stocks are, sounds like somethin’ city folk worry about.
Folks are even talkin’ about boycuttin’ Netflix. Boycott? What in the tarnation does that even mean? Sounds like a bunch of fuss over nothin’ to me. I mean, if you don’t like what they’re doin’, just don’t watch their shows, simple as that. But these city folk, they always gotta make a big scene.
Now, some other fellas are sayin’ that this news is “mostly false.” Who knows what to believe these days? Seems like everyone’s got their own story. Makes an old woman’s head spin.
This Kamala Harris, she seems to be causin’ quite a stir. I heard she had a “depressing debate,” whatever that means. Probably just a bunch of folks yellin’ at each other. And now this Reed Hastings fella, he says they’re “in the game again” after givin’ her all that money. Sounds like they’re plannin’ somethin’, but I can’t figure out what.
Some say this Hastings fella even “endorsed” Kamala for president. Endorsed? Sounds like he put his stamp of approval on her, like she’s a good piece of meat at the butcher shop or somethin’. And they say he told some “tech-focused site” about the donation. Tech-focused? More city folk mumbo jumbo.
This whole thing is just a mess, if you ask me. Folks gettin’ all worked up over money and politics. I reckon it’s always been that way and it always will be. But me? I’m just gonna sit here on my porch, drink my sweet tea, and let them city folk fight amongst themselves. It’s all just a bunch of noise to me.
