Okay, so I saw this thing floating around about Netflix casting calls in Nashville, and I was like, “Hmm, that sounds interesting.” I’ve always kinda wanted to see what it’s like to be on a set, even just as an extra. So, I decided to look into it.
First, I googled “netflix casting calls nashville” to get a sense of what’s even out there. I saw a bunch of different websites pop up, some looking more legit than others. I figured, “Alright, let’s start with the ones that look like they know what they’re talking about.”
I clicked on a few of the top results. Most were listing general casting calls, not necessarily just Netflix, but they had sections for different productions. I scrolled through, trying to find anything specifically mentioning Netflix or a show I recognized. It was a lot of “seeking background actors” and “looking for extras” types of things.
I noticed that some of the listings were pretty old, so I made sure to focus on the ones that seemed recent. I mean, no point in applying for something that’s already wrapped, right?
I found a couple that mentioned “major streaming service” and filmed in Nashville, which I figured was probably Netflix. I read through the requirements – basically, you had to be over 18, local to the Nashville area, and available for certain dates. Pretty standard stuff.
Then, I looked at how to apply. Some had online forms you could fill out, asking for your basic info, headshots, and a resume (if you had one). Others gave an email address where you could send your stuff.
I decided to go with one that had an online form. It felt more official somehow. I gathered my best headshot (which, let’s be honest, was just a decent selfie), and I filled out the form. I didn’t have an acting resume, so I just put “N/A” in that section. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try.
I double-checked everything, made sure my contact info was correct, and then I hit “submit.” And that was it! Now it’s just a waiting game. I’m not expecting to become a star or anything, but it would be cool to at least get a call back. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up in the background of some Netflix show. It’s a fun thought, anyway.
We’ll wait to get the result!
