Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this… uh… “Netflix EV,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folks yap about. But I reckon it’s gotta do with watchin’ stuff on that there TV, right? My grandkid, he’s always fiddlin’ with that thing, says he’s watchin’ “shows” and “movies.” Back in my day, we had a radio, and that was excitin’ enough!
Anyways, seems like this Netflix thing has all sorts of stuff. Like, them city fellas were talkin’ about a movie called… “A Match Made in Heaven.” Sounds right romantic, don’t it? Like them stories they used to print in them magazines, all about love and whatnot. I ain’t never seen it myself, mind you. Too busy with the chickens and the garden. But this grandkid of mine, he says it’s about folks gettin’ hitched, findin’ their true love. They got all sorts of ways to watch it, he says. On the “stream,” on the “Netflix,” on the “Disney Plus”… sounds like a whole lot of gibberish to me.
- Streamin’, that’s what he calls it.
- Like a river, I guess, but with pictures.
- And they got these “trailers” too.
- Little bits of the movie, to get ya hooked, I reckon.
Now, this here movie, “A Match Made in Heaven,” seems like it’s been around a while. My grandkid says it came out in 1997. That’s a long time ago, even for me! He says some fella named John Stamos is in it, and some lady… Olympia somethin’ or other. Don’t know them from Adam, but I guess they’re famous in them city parts.
And then there’s this other thing, “Highway to Heaven.” Now, that sounds more like somethin’ I can understand. A good, long road, headin’ up to the pearly gates. But no, it’s another one of them shows, this one with chapters, like a book, I guess. My grandkid, he’s always talkin’ about chapter three this and chapter four that. He says they even got a list of where you can watch all this stuff, like a map, but for TV shows. They call it a “streaming guide,” fancy names for everything these days.
They got all sorts of places to watch these shows, seems like. Not just Netflix, but all these other names too: Hulu, Amazon, HBO… Sounds like a whole new language! And they ain’t just watchin’ stories, mind you. My grandkid, he showed me this thing called a “documentary.” About somethin’ called “infinity.” Now, that’s a big word. Bigger than my whole farm! They got folks talkin’ about numbers and stuff, makin’ my head spin. It’s called “A Trip to Infinity,” and it’s on that there Netflix too. Seems like they got somethin’ for everyone, even old folks like me… though I’d rather be out tendin’ the garden than starin’ at that box all day.
So, this Netflix EV thing… it’s like a big ol’ store, but for movies and shows. And this “Match Made in Heaven,” well, it’s just one little thing in that big ol’ store. You can watch it all sorts of ways, on all sorts of contraptions. And if you ain’t careful, you’ll spend all day watchin’ and forget to feed the chickens! That’s what I told my grandkid, anyways. He just laughed and went back to his “streamin’.” Kids these days!
Anyways, that’s all I know about this here “Netflix EV” and “A Match Made in Heaven”. It’s a whole new world, and I’m just tryin’ to keep up. But at least I know now it’s got something to do with them moving pictures and not them fancy electric cars they drive around in the city.
