I’ve been wanting to get more into anime lately. I mean, I watched some of the big ones like Naruto growing up, but that’s about it. So, I figured Netflix would be a good place to start, you know, since I already pay for it. My buddy was telling me about this new anime called “___,” but I couldn’t remember the name when I looked it up, I guess it’s not on Netflix or something.

So I just typed “anime” into the Netflix search bar and let it do its thing. Scrolling through, I saw a bunch of titles I recognized. They had some seasons of K-On!, but it is leaving in November. I guess I need to watch it before it leaves, but I’m not sure if I want to watch it or not. After scrolling for a while, I noticed that Netflix has tons of anime movies and shows. I didn’t realize how much they’d stepped up their anime game.

  • First, I added a few movies that looked interesting to “My List.”
  • Then I went through the series and did the same.

Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed. There’s so much to choose from! I ended up picking a series that seemed to be a long-running title, based on what I read, just to get my feet wet. I watched the first episode, and it was pretty good! It has this whole ninja vibe, with some cool fighting scenes. I think I’ll stick with it for a bit.

My Plan

Here’s what I’m thinking. I’m gonna try to watch at least one episode of anime a day. Maybe more on the weekends. I’ll start with the series I picked, then maybe check out some of those movies I added to my list. I heard anime is a big deal for Netflix, especially in Asia, so it makes sense that they’d have a lot. I also heard that there is some good anime on Crunchyroll, so maybe I will check that out sometime too. I’ll keep you guys posted on my anime journey! Wish me luck!
