They got different teams, see? Some folks handle the shows, that’s the “content” team. Then there’s the money people, the “finance” team, and the lawyer fellas, the “legal” team. And lots more, I reckon. They all work together, but they each got their own thing to do. It’s like a big potluck, everyone brings a dish, but it all makes a meal.

Netflix ain’t just in America, no sirree! They’re everywhere! So, they got teams for different places, you know, like “local” and “international”. That makes sense, right? What folks wanna watch in America might be different from what they wanna watch over in Japan or someplace.

  • Japan Team: They do the same, but for them folks in Japan.
  • Everywhere Else Team: Well, they cover the rest of the world, I guess. That’s a lot of places!

Then there are the folks who actually make the shows and movies, the “product” team. And the techy fellas who make sure you can watch it all on your TV or your phone, they call that “product development”, I think. It’s like makin’ a quilt. You got the folks who pick the fabric, the ones who cut it, and the ones who sew it all together. All gotta work together to get the job done.

No Big Layers, Just Straight Talk

Now, some companies, they got layers and layers of bosses, like a big ol’ cake. But Netflix, they ain’t like that. They keep things kinda flat. That means if you got a good idea, you can tell the big boss right away. You don’t gotta go through a whole bunch of other folks. That’s good, I say. Gets things done quicker, like when you need to get them chickens fed before a storm.

They say Netflix is a big example of this “flat” way of doing things. They want everyone to feel like they can make a difference, like they can help the company grow. It’s a whole lot of moving parts, but somehow, they make it work. Kinda like a clock, all them gears gotta work together to keep tickin’.

They got a whole heap of important folks, “executives” they call ‘em. Hundreds of ‘em! I saw somewhere they got over a hundred big shots. That’s a lot of mouths to feed! But I guess they need all them folks to keep things runnin’ smooth. It’s like a big family farm, everyone’s got a job to do.

So, that’s how I see it, this Netflix “org structure” thing. It ain’t so complicated when you break it down. Just a bunch of folks workin’ together to bring you them shows you like to watch. And that’s all that matters, right?

Just Keep it Simple

You don’t need no fancy degrees to understand that. It’s just about workin’ hard and gettin’ things done. And that’s something us country folk know a thing or two about. We don’t need big words and complicated charts. Just tell me who does what and let’s get on with it. Seems like Netflix, they kind of think the same way, and that’s probably why they’re doin’ so well.

Anyway, that’s my two cents on this Netflix business. Seems like they got a good thing goin’ on, even if I don’t always understand all them fancy words they use. As long as they keep puttin’ out good shows, I’m happy.
