You know that Netflix, right? That thing on the TV where you can watch all sorts of shows. My grandkids, they put it on for me sometimes. There is one show, they call it “The Crown”. I saw it on that crossword puzzle thing. The crossword clue, that’s what they call it. “Netflix’s The Crown, for one,” it said.
That show, “The Crown”, it’s about the Queen. Not our queen, mind you. The one from across the pond, in England. They got fancy clothes and big houses. I think it is a ROYALDRAMA. Lots of fancy words, but it’s just about rich folk and their problems, you know?
I don’t know much about those crossword things, but my grandkids, they are always doing them. It is like a game or something. They write down the words, and they gotta fit them all in. They get all excited when they figure out a clue. I saw this clue about “The Crown” on Netflix, and I thought, “Well, I know that show!”
This crossword clue, it got me thinking. That show, it’s all about that family. The royal family, they call them. Lots of drama. Always something going on. Just like a soap opera, but with crowns and fancy stuff. That is what they are looking for when they write “Netflix’s The Crown, for one” in a crossword.
I don’t know all the answers to those crossword things, but I figured that one out! That “The Crown” show on Netflix, it’s a ROYALDRAMA. Yep, that is what it is. A whole lot of fuss about rich folk.
The letters they are lookin for is “ROYALDRAMA“. That is what they want to put in the crossword. “Netflix’s The Crown, for one,” it said in the clue. And that’s what it is, a ROYALDRAMA. My grandkids, they’d be proud of me for figuring that out, wouldn’t they?
I saw it in the LA Times, they got a puzzle in there, a crossword one. Every day, a new one. I don’t do them myself, too much thinkin’. But that “The Crown” on Netflix, that caught my eye. It is a big show. Everyone’s talkin’ about it.

I don’t know who makes those puzzles. Some fella named Will Shortz, they say. Been doing it a long time. Since ’93. Makes them harder and harder as the week goes on. Like I said, this “The Crown” clue, it must not have been too hard. Even I figured it out!

They got all kinds of clues in those crossword things. About all sorts of things. History, and books, and I don’t know what all. This one, it was about a TV show. A popular one, too. Everyone’s seen “The Crown” on Netflix, haven’t they?
Well, maybe not everyone. But a lot of folks have. My grandkids, they love it. They watch all those shows on Netflix. Me, I just like my stories. And that “The Crown”, it’s a story, all right. A ROYALDRAMA story.
I reckon that is what folks like about it. The drama. The fancy clothes. The Queen. All that stuff. It’s like a different world. And that crossword clue, it just reminded me of that show. “Netflix’s The Crown”, for one.
It is about that Queen Elizabeth. The one in England. She’s been Queen for a long time. Longer than I’ve been alive! And that show, “The Crown”, it’s all about her life. And her family. All the ups and downs. Lots of downs, seems like. But that’s what makes it a ROYALDRAMA, I guess.
I don’t know if I’d want to live like that. All that attention. Everyone watching your every move. But it makes for a good show, I suppose. And it makes for a good crossword clue, too! “Netflix’s The Crown”, for one. Ten letters. ROYALDRAMA.
