Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ about these Christmas movies, or whatever you young folks call ’em, “exmas movies.” I don’t know much about this “Netflix” or “Disney+” thingamajigs, but I do know a good story when I see one, ya hear?
Seems like every year they make a whole bunch of new ones. Some are alright, I guess, but nothin’ beats the oldies, the ones that make ya feel all warm and fuzzy inside. They got these big-budget ones, all fancy-like, and then those TV movies, they’re okay for passin’ the time, ya know?
I remember watchin’ It’s a Wonderful Life way back when. That one, that’s a real good one. It shows ya how important it is to be good to folks and how much you matter, even when you don’t think so. You can probably find it on that “Prime” thing, they got everything on there now, it seems.
- The old ones are the best: They got heart, ya know? They ain’t all about flashy lights and fancy talk.
- Family is important: Most of these Christmas movies, they’re about family gettin’ together, even when they squabble. That’s what Christmas is all about, ain’t it?
- Be good to folks: Just like that Wonderful Life fella, bein’ good to others, that’s the real meanin’ of Christmas, not all the presents and such.
Now, these new ones, they’re a mixed bag, I tell ya. Some are cute, some are funny, some are just plain silly. They got this “Hot Frosty” one, and “Our Little Secret” on that Netflix thing. I ain’t seen ‘em yet, but the young’uns seem to like ‘em. But they ain’t got nothin’ on the classics, ya hear me?
I reckon it’s nice to have somethin’ new to watch, though. Keeps things interestin’, I suppose. But don’t you forget about the old ones, the ones that your grandma and grandpa watched. They’re the ones that really stick with ya.
And another thing, these movies, they always got a happy endin’. That’s what makes ’em Christmas movies, I guess. No matter how bad things get, everythin’ always works out in the end. It’s kinda like real life, ain’t it? You gotta have hope, even when things are tough. Hope and family, that’s what Christmas is about, not all this fancy gift-givin’ and such.
This year, they got a whole bunch of new ones comin’ out on all them different channels. I don’t even know how many there are anymore. It’s hard to keep up, I tell ya. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ good to watch, I say stick with the classics, or ask your mama, she probably knows which ones are worth watchin’. And don’t forget to make some hot cocoa and get yourself a warm blanket, that’s the best way to watch a Christmas movie.
So, whether you’re watchin’ somethin’ new or somethin’ old, just remember what Christmas is really all about. It’s about bein’ with the folks you love, bein’ kind to others, and havin’ a little bit of hope in your heart. That’s all that matters, ya hear?
