Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to make this October horror movie list for a while now, and I finally got around to doing it. It’s that time of year, you know? The spooky season. And what’s better than a good horror movie marathon to get you in the mood?

First, I started by brainstorming all the horror movies I’ve ever watched. My mind went straight to the classics. I wrote down things like “Trick ‘r Treat,” cause who doesn’t love that one? It is a great way to kick off the Halloween season. Then, of course, “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” because revenge stories are always a good time. Freddy Krueger is an icon, right?

Then, I hit up the internet, just to see what’s new and what other people are watching. That’s where I found out about this whole Cinemark FOMO thing. They’re showing a bunch of horror movies, old and new, all through October. Sounds pretty cool, actually. I also stumbled upon a list of 17 horror movies coming out this month. I added a few of those to my list, like “In a Violent Nature” It looks pretty creepy.

It seems like all the theatrical releases have moved online, so I spent a good chunk of time browsing different streaming platforms. So many options, it’s kind of overwhelming.

After all that, I compiled my list, organized by date. I figured it would be cool to have a movie picked out for each day of October. Here’s a sneak peek:

  • October 1st: Trick ‘r Treat
  • October 13th: A Nightmare on Elm Street
  • October 20th: In a Violent Nature

And so on. I tried to mix it up, some classics, some new stuff, some stuff I’ve seen a million times, some stuff I’ve never seen before. The goal is to have a good time and get my horror fix. Now all I need is a big bowl of popcorn and some comfy blankets, and I’m all set for a month of spooky movie nights.

Hopefully, this list gives you some ideas for your own Halloween movie marathons. Happy watching, everyone!
