Paul McCartney‘s Got Back Tour is returning to North America this fall, the Beatles legend announced on Thursday, marking McCartney’s first North American tour since 2022.
The 19-date tour will start at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert September 29, his first time playing the venue, and it will finish with two nights in Chicago at the United Center on November 24 and 25. McCartney’s Got Back Tour had first come to North America three years ago and was the tenth-biggest tour of 2022, according to Pollstar. The tour’s most recent run finished at the O2 Arena in London at the end of last year. McCartney had reunited with Ringo Starr at that show, with the last two living Beatles playing songs including “Helter Skelter” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”
It’s fantastic, playing with me old mate, but there comes a time when we’ve got to go home. All that remains to be said…. I’ve had a great night and I love you all,” Starr told the crowd as he left following that reunion.
Since then, McCartney played a three-night sold out run of underplays at the Bowery Ballroom in New York back in February, leaving fans clamoring for more shows. He also performed for Saturday Night Live’s 50th Anniversary special that month.
Tickets for the tour go on sale next week on July 18 at 10 a.m. local time, available to purchase through McCartney’s website. According to McCartney’s Instagram, a presale will begin three days’ prior on July 15 at 10 a.m. local time.
