This here’s about them Pokemon movie posters. You know, them little critters, they got movies now, and posters, lots of ’em. My grandson, he’s crazy about these things. He says, “Grandma, you gotta see these Pokemon!” I say, “What in tarnation is a Poke-man?”
Pokemon The Movie
Well, turns out, it’s a whole big thing. They got these little fellas, they battle each other. And they made movies about ’em. First one I saw was called, just Pokemon: The First Movie. Had a big yellow fella on the poster, Pikachu, they call him. My grandson, he’s got a Pikachu toy, carries it everywhere.
Then there’s another one, Pokemon: The Movie 2000. That’s the one with a whole mess of them creatures on the poster. Big birds, little fellas, all sorts. My grandson says they’re called “Legendary Pokemon”. Sounds like somethin’ out of an old wives’ tale, if you ask me.
Pokemon Posters All Over
They got Pokemon posters for all these movies. Some got one critter on ’em, some got a whole bunch. Some is just a DVD cover, you know, for them little movie discs. I seen ’em all over. You go to the store, they got ’em. You look online, they got ’em there too. It’s like they’re everywhere, these Pokemon things. They got posters for the kitchen, they got posters for the bar, you name it, and they probably got a Pokemon poster for it.
There’s this one fella, Lawrence III, he’s in one of them movies. He’s trying to catch these big bird Pokemon. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, that’s what they’re called. My grandson, he knows all their names. I can’t keep ’em straight. He says this Lawrence fella is causing all sorts of trouble, messin’ with the balance of nature. Sounds like a load of hooey to me, but the kids love it.

Pokemon Movies Are Everywhere
These Pokemon movies, they ain’t just for little kids. My grandson, he’s 10, he loves ’em. But I seen teenagers watchin’ ’em too. Even some grown-ups. They say these movies are good for kids over 8. Some of them little critters can be scary, though. They ain’t all cute like that Pikachu fella. Some of ’em look like monsters, real fierce-like.
I heard one of them movies is real sad. This Pikachu, he gets separated from his friend, this boy named Ash. The boy, he’s in danger, and Pikachu, he’s all heartbroken. My grandson, he cried when he saw that part. I told him, “It’s just a movie, honey. Them Pokemon ain’t real.” But he wouldn’t listen. He loves them little critters.
Seems like they keep makin’ more of these Pokemon movies. They got all them different posters, showing all the different adventures. My grandson, he wants to see ’em all. He wants all the posters too. He’s got a whole wall in his room covered in ’em. It’s a bit much, if you ask me, but it makes him happy.
What’s A Pokemon?
I still don’t really understand what all the fuss is about. These Pokemon, they’re just little cartoon critters. But the kids love ’em. And these movies, they teach ’em about friendship, and bravery, and all that. So I guess they ain’t all bad. And the posters, they’re colorful, I’ll give ’em that. They brighten up a room, that’s for sure.
Now, they are making more, more, and more. These movies ain’t stopping anytime soon. They are like weeds in your garden, keep popping up. More critters, more stories. It just won’t stop. They are everywhere, I tell you, everywhere. You can’t escape these little fellas. The kids will keep dragging you to them, so you just have to sit there and watch ’em battle. That’s all they do. Battle and yell. It’s a headache, but the younguns love it, so what can you do?
So, if you got a little one who’s crazy about Pokemon, you better get ready. You’re gonna be seein’ a lot of them movie posters. And you’re gonna be hearin’ a lot about Pikachu, and Ash, and all them other critters. It’s a whole different world, this Pokemon thing. A world of little monsters and big adventures. And it all starts with them movie posters, plastered all over the place, catchin’ your eye and pullin’ you in. Just like they pulled in my grandson.
