Well, ain’t that somethin’, these little Pop figures, they got all sorts. My grandkid, he tells me ’bout them horror movie ones. Creepy little things, if you ask me. But kids these days, they like all that spooky stuff.
So, they got these Pop figures, right? Little plastic fellers, big heads and tiny bodies. And they make ’em look like them scary movie monsters. You know, the ones with the masks and the knives? Makes me shiver just thinkin’ about it.
- They got this one, looks like a fella with a white mask. Just stares at ya. Gives me the creeps.
- And another one, a doll with orange hair and scars. Kids like that? I tell ya, times have changed.
My grandkid, he’s got a whole shelf of ’em. Says they’re collectibles. Whatever that means. He’s always lookin’ for the rare ones, spends his allowance on ’em. I just don’t get it. Back in my day, we played with sticks and rocks. Not these plastic monsters.
But I guess if it makes him happy. He tells me all about the movies, the stories behind these figures. Says they’re iconic. I just nod and smile. He knows more than me about these things, that’s for sure.
They say some of these Pop figures are worth a lot of money. Imagine that! People payin’ good money for a little plastic doll. My grandkid keeps ’em in boxes, never plays with ’em. Says they gotta stay in mint condition. Mint condition! What a load of hooey.
But hey, it keeps him busy. Better than runnin’ around causin’ trouble. And he’s learned a lot about movies and characters. He even writes stories about them. Maybe there’s somethin’ to it after all.

- He’s got one with a big knife. Don’t like lookin’ at that one.
- And another, a clown. Clowns are creepy, always have been.
- He’s got one with nails in his head. Now, that’s just disturbin’.
I tell ya, these horror movies, they ain’t for me. Too much blood and gore. But the kids, they love it. Maybe it’s ’cause it’s excitin’, somethin’ different. Or maybe they just like bein’ scared.
These Pop figures, they’re everywhere now. See ’em in the stores, on the TV. They even make keychains and t-shirts with ’em. It’s a whole world, this horror thing. And these little figures, they’re a part of it.
So, if you like them scary movies, maybe you’d like these Pop figures. They’re kinda cute, in a creepy way. And if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll find a rare one and make a fortune. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.
My grandkid, he’s always talkin’ about the new releases. Says he’s gotta get ’em all. I just shake my head. But he’s a good kid, and if these little plastic monsters make him happy, then I guess it’s alright.
Just don’t put ’em in my room. I don’t need them starin’ at me while I’m sleepin’. Give me the creeps.
