Alright, so someone told me to yap about this “Rage” movie, ain’t never heard of it before, but here we go.

First off, them fancy movie folks, the “critics” they call ’em, they got their own way of lookin’ at things. They talk about “direction” and “cinematography” and all that big talk. Sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me, but I guess it matters to some folks. They compare it to other movies, like they keep a scorecard or somethin’. And they get all worked up about what’s trendy and what people are talkin’ about these days.

  • They say it’s a “slow-burn thriller”, which I guess means it takes a while to get goin’.
  • And it’s got “disaffected” people in it. Don’t know what that means exactly, but sounds like they ain’t happy.
  • Oh, and there’s some “simmering violence”. So, like, it’s gonna blow up eventually, I reckon.

Now, some folks, they hated this movie. Said it was “wretched” and “dull”. Like watchin’ paint dry, I guess. They said it’s old-school, like somethin’ from back in the day. But then there’s other folks, regular people like you and me, who loved it. Said they enjoyed every minute. Goes to show, you can’t please everyone.

So, what’s this “Rage” movie about anyway? Well, from what I gather, it ain’t no sunshine and rainbows story. It’s dark, and it’s got some messed-up stuff goin’ on. People are angry, I guess, that’s why it’s called “Rage”. They say the folks in the movie, the actors, they do a good job. Make you believe they’re really those angry people. That’s somethin’ at least.

Now, I heard someone say it coulda been better. Needed a bit more “writin’ and re-writin'”. Guess they coulda fixed it up some. But hey, it is what it is, right? Some folks like it, some folks don’t. That’s the way it goes with most things in life.

And they keep talkin’ about how it’s an “Australian Horror and Thriller”. So, it’s from down under, huh? They made some other scary movies before, I hear. One called “Snowtown” and another called “The Babadook”. Never seen ’em myself, but they must be somethin’ if people are bringin’ ’em up.

This movie, “Rage”, it ain’t for everyone. It’s probably not somethin’ you wanna watch with the little ones. But if you like them thrillers, the ones that make you think a bit, and you ain’t afraid of a little darkness, then maybe you’ll like it. It’s all about whether you’re willin’ to give it a try, they say.

Personally, I like a good story, somethin’ that keeps you guessin’. Don’t care too much about all that fancy camera work or whatever. If it’s got a good story and the folks in it act like they mean it, then that’s good enough for me. So, would I watch “Rage”? Maybe, just maybe. If I got nothin’ better to do and someone hands me a bowl of popcorn. Otherwise, I’ll stick to my stories, the ones I know and love.

But hey, that’s just me. You go watch it yourself and see what you think. Don’t let no fancy critic or old woman like me tell you what to like. You got your own mind, use it. That’s all I gotta say about that darn movie.
