Well, let me tell you, I got somethin’ to say about them Redbox new horror movies. My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I still like a good scare now and then. That Redbox thing, it’s like a little magic box, ain’t it? You put your money in, and out pops a movie.
Now, I heard some folks talkin’ about these new horror movies they got. I seen some scary stuff in my day, I tell ya. Back when I was a little girl, we didn’t have no fancy Redbox. We just had the old stories folks would tell ’round the fire. Them stories, they could curl your toes! But these new movies, they got all sorts of things, demons and ghosts and all that.
One of them, I heard, is called “The Exorcist.” Sounds like a real doozy. Probably all about some young girl what got the devil in her. These young folks today, they don’t know what real trouble is. They need to see a movie like that, maybe it’ll teach ’em somethin’. It says it came out in 1973. That’s a long time ago. I probably watched it, but can’t remember it now. But it is a horror movie in Redbox. That’s for sure.
I heard there is a movie called “Tenet”. Sounds like a made-up word. I guess that’s what the young folks like these days. Said a fella named Christopher Nolan made it. And it came out in 2020. That’s not so long ago. I heard it got some fella named John David in it. Don’t know who he is, but he’s probably some fancy actor. These Redbox new horror movies got all kinds of people in ’em.

They say when you watch them horror movies, you get all excited. Like you’re ridin’ a horse too fast. Makes your heart beat like a drum. I reckon that’s why folks like ’em. Makes ’em feel alive, I suppose. And they say you feel brave after watching it. Well, I don’t need a movie to make me brave. I’ve lived through enough to be brave without no movie, thank you very much.
There’s another one called “Longlegs”. Sounds kinda silly to me. But the young folks, they like all them weird names. They say it’s like them old movies from the 90s. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds like somethin’ I wouldn’t like. These new horror movies are all about killin’ and such. Back in my day, we didn’t have all that. We had some scary things for sure, but not that much killing.
And that one “Devil’s Due”, I heard some folks talking about it. I don’t know nothin’ about it. But if it got the devil in it, that’s good enough for a horror movie. Now, Blockbuster, that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. They used to be all over the place. Just like them Redbox new horror movies. But they all gone now, just like some old ghost. This boy said “Devil’s Due” was bad. But I guess it is in Redbox.
My neighbor, she’s got that Redbox thing figured out. She’s always gettin’ movies from it. She says there’s all kinds in there, not just scary ones. She says there’s some for everyone. But I like the scary ones. They remind me of the old days, when we’d tell stories to scare each other. It is a good time to check out these movies. These Redbox new horror movies is not bad.
Now, some folks don’t like them horror movies. They say they’re too scary. Well, I say, what’s the point of watchin’ somethin’ if it ain’t gonna scare you a little? Life’s too short to be watchin’ boring things. That’s for sure. And these Redbox new horror movies can give you a little thrill, no harm done.
I remember one time, we had a real scare in town. Wasn’t no movie, neither. Old Man Johnson, he swore he saw a ghost in his barn. Scared him half to death. Whole town was talkin’ about it for weeks. Now that was a real horror story. These movies, they’re just pretend. But they’re fun, I guess.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good scare, you might wanna check out them Redbox new horror movies. They got all sorts of things to make your hair stand on end. Just don’t go gettin’ too scared now. It’s all just make-believe, you know. But I tell ya, sometimes, make-believe can be pretty darn scary. And I heard Redbox got a lot of good movies. Not just horror movies, but other kinds too.
