Alright, listen up, y’all. Today, we’re gonna yak about them scary movies with trains. You know, the ones that make your hair stand on end and your heart thump like a rabbit in a dog kennel.
First off, let’s talk about “Terror Train.” I ain’t never been on no fancy college train, but this here movie, it’s a doozy. Some college kids, they pull a prank, and then, years later, somebody in a mask starts huntin’ ’em down on a New Year’s Eve train party. Sounds like a heap of trouble to me. Scary stuff, I tell ya. Makes you think twice about playin’ pranks on folks, that’s for sure.
Then there’s this one, “Terror on the Tracks.” I ain’t sure what it’s all about, but it sounds like them trains ain’t safe, not one bit. Maybe they get robbed? Maybe somethin’ worse? I reckon it’s best to stay off them tracks after dark, just in case.
- Now, “The Lady Vanishes,” that’s an oldie but a goodie, they say. Folks told me it’s about somebody disappearin’ on a train. Poof, gone like a fart in the wind. Can you imagine? Bein’ on a train and then *poof* somebody’s just gone? Makes my skin crawl just thinkin’ about it. Hitch somethin’ or other, he made it. Folks say he was a real smart fella.
- And then there’s “Creep.” This one’s about them subway trains, down in London. Tunnels and such. Dark and spooky, like a rat’s nest. I ain’t never been on no subway, but I heard they can be right creepy, even without no monsters. But this movie, it’s got somethin’ lurkin’ down there, somethin’ bad. Kept me up at night, that one did.
Another one they talk about is “The Ghost Train.” This one’s set way over in some place called Cornwall. A bunch of folks get off a train and then, wouldn’t ya know it, there ain’t no other train comin’. Stranded, they are. And then, I reckon, spooky stuff starts happenin’. Ghosts and such. I ain’t never seen a ghost, myself, but I heard tell they ain’t nothin’ to mess with. Speakin’ of ghosts, reminds me of my old Auntie Sue used to say she saw ghosts ever now and then, scared me half to death I tell ya, she was a real piece of work that one.
Some folks say “The Exorcist” is the scariest movie ever. Nineteen outta a hundred people say so, or somethin’ like that. Now, it ain’t got no trains in it, far as I know, but it’s scary all the same. Demons and such. Makes you wanna go to church, I tell ya. Maybe even twice on Sunday. And you best bet I would, I’d go to church every Sunday and Wednesday if it meant keepin’ them demons away.
Anyway, back to them trains. There’s somethin’ about trains, ain’t there? Big and loud and powerful. But they can be dangerous too. And when you put ’em in a scary movie, well, that just makes ’em even scarier. You get trapped on one of them things, and there ain’t nowhere to go. You’re stuck, just like a fly in a spiderweb. And that’s what makes them train movies so darn spooky.
Now, I ain’t seen all these movies myself. I ain’t got the time nor the stomach for it. But I heard enough about ‘em to know they ain’t for the faint of heart. So, if you’re lookin’ for a good scare, and you don’t mind a bit of screechin’ metal and dark tunnels, then give these train movies a try. But don’t say I didn’t warn ya. They might just keep you up at night.
And one last thing, y’all. If you ever find yourself on a train and things start gettin’ weird, you best jump off that thing faster than a scalded dog. Don’t wait around to see what happens next. ‘Cause chances are, it ain’t gonna be pretty.
You all take care now, and stay safe. And for goodness sake, stay off them spooky trains!
