Alright, so you wanna know about them scary movies on that AMC Plus thingy, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, I’ve seen a few in my time, and some of ’em, they just stick with ya like mud on boots.
First off, gotta talk about “The Exorcist”. That one? It’s bad news. Real bad. This little girl, she gets somethin’ inside her, somethin’ evil. And her poor mama, she’s just beside herself, don’t know what to do. So, she gets these two priest fellas, you know, the church guys, to try and get it out. Let me tell you, it ain’t pretty. Screamin’, twistin’, stuff flyin’ around… It’ll make your hair stand on end, I tell ya. They say it’s the scariest movie ever made. Maybe so, maybe so. Scared the bejesus outta me, that’s for sure.
Now, AMC, that used to be just one channel, you know? American Movie Classics, they called it. But then, a few years back, they started this AMC Plus thing. It’s got all sorts of shows and movies, not just from AMC, but from other places too, like that BBC America and somethin’ called Shudder. Shudder, now that sounds scary just sayin’ it, don’t it? And they got horrors on there, lots of ‘em.
- One time, I saw this movie, can’t remember the name now, but it was about these zombies. Walkin’ dead, they were. Slow and creepy, always hungry. Made me think twice about goin’ out after dark, that’s for sure.
- And then there was that one about the haunted house. Old place, creaky floors, shadows everywhere. You just knew somethin’ bad happened there, you know? And sure enough, ghosts and things poppin’ out, makin’ folks scream.
- Oh, and don’t forget the vampires! Them bloodsuckers, always lurkin’ around. Handsome devils, some of ’em, but they’re nothin’ but trouble, I tell ya. They got these long teeth, and they like to bite, especially on pretty young girls. I always say stay away from the handsome ones, they are the worst kind.
How do you find out if a movie’s good, you ask? Well, there’s this thing called Rotten Tomatoes. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in the garden, don’t it? But it ain’t. It’s where people go to say if a movie’s good or bad. They give it a score, see? The higher the score, the better the movie is supposed to be. I don’t always agree with them city folk, but sometimes they’re right.
Now, AMC Plus, they got all kinds of horror movies. Old ones, new ones, all sorts. You can even sort ‘em, you know, like by how popular they are or when they came out. Reelgood, they call it. Sounds fishy to me, but I guess it helps folks find what they want. So if you’re lookin’ for a good scare, that’s the place to go. Just make sure you got a blanket to hide under, ‘cause some of them movies, they’ll give you nightmares for a week! And don’t watch ’em alone, that’s just askin’ for trouble. Get yourself a friend, or a big dog, somethin’ to make you feel safe.
And listen, if you see somethin’ that don’t look right, you get outta there. Don’t go pokin’ around, don’t go askin’ questions. Just turn tail and run. That’s what I always say. Better safe than sorry, especially when it comes to them spooky things. You hear me? You be careful out there. The world’s a scary place, and them movies, they just remind you of it. But hey, sometimes a good scare is just what you need, right? Gets the blood pumpin’, keeps you on your toes. Just don’t blame me if you can’t sleep at night!
