This year, that old me, I’m thinkin’ of doin’ somethin’ a little different for my grandkids. They’re all crazy about them horror movies, you know? So, I thought, why not make ’em a horror movie gift basket? It’ll be a real hoot!
Fillin’ Up the Basket
First thing’s first, gotta get a basket. Nothin’ fancy, just somethin’ big enough to hold all the goodies. Maybe one of them wicker ones, or even a plastic bucket will do. Then ya gotta fill it up! That’s the fun part. I went down to the Walmart, they got all kinds of stuff. And Amazon too, lots of deals. I tell ya, lots and lots of choices. You can get some real bargains there.
My grandkids, they love them scary movies. The scarier the better! So I’m gonna put some of them horror movies in the basket. Maybe some of them old ones, like that Dracula fella, or Frankenstein. They like them all!

- Some popcorn, gotta have popcorn for watchin’ movies.
- Candy, all kinds of it.
Some Spooky Stuff, Too
But a horror movie gift basket ain’t just about the movies. Gotta have some other spooky stuff in there, too. Like them rubber spiders, maybe a fake eyeball or two. Just silly things to make ’em laugh. Those little things, you know? And maybe a little plastic pumpkin. Every kid loves them pumpkins. Fill ’em with candy, sure.
Now, them kids, they like to dress up, too. So maybe I’ll throw in a mask, or some of that fake blood. They can run around the house, scarin’ each other. It’ll be a real scream! Those horror movie lover gifts, all sort of them. Ya can also get some posters, that’s good.
You can make it all nice and pretty, too. Get some of that orange and black paper, maybe some of them spider webs made outta cotton. Just make it look real spooky, you know? And a ribbon! A big orange or black ribbon, to make it look extra special. That’s a horror movie gift basket.

Cozy Things for a Scary Night
And ya know, after all that scarin’ and runnin’ around, them kids are gonna be tired. So I’m gonna put some cozy things in that horror movie gift basket, too. Like a blanket, maybe one with ghosts on it. Or some fuzzy socks with pumpkins, I saw them at the store, real cheap. They got all sorts of things now. Even them little stuffed animals, but scary ones. Them plushies, they call them. Who would have thought? Scary plushies.
And maybe a candle. A big orange one, that smells like pumpkin spice. They like that smell. Everyone on your list will be happy. Makes the whole house smell good, even if it is a little spooky. All these horror movie lover gifts are popular. Even for adults. Even old me, I would like it. Celebrate with these things, very good.
Movies, Movies, and More Movies
But back to them movies. That’s the main thing, ain’t it? A horror movie gift basket needs lots of movies. So I’m gonna get all kinds. Some for the little ones, some for the bigger ones. There are so many to choose from! I saw they have some good deals on DVDs. Even those ugly sweater cases, they have them for the Holidays.
That way, everyone gets somethin’ they like. And they can all watch ’em together, on Halloween night. That’ll be fun. A whole night of scary movies, popcorn, and candy. Just what they like. That’s how to make this horror movie gift basket.

So that’s my plan. A big horror movie gift basket for my grandkids. I think they’re gonna love it. It’s somethin’ different, somethin’ fun. And it’s a way to show ’em that their old grandma still knows how to have a good time. Even if I don’t watch them scary movies with ’em! Nope, not for me. I’ll be in the kitchen, bakin’ cookies. But they can have their fun. That’s a gift, alright. A real good horror movie gift basket.
