I'm currently watching the season, and I have mixed feelings, very mixed feelings, actually. There are already a lot of inconsistencies, and as someone who grew up in the 80s myself, there are attitudes in the series that kids have these days, which would have been unimaginable for a child in the 80s. Then there's the aspect – this is just my opinion – of the Black Lives Matter resistance mixed with these kinds of thug or villain characters that we see right from the start. I don't know, I didn't find it very believable. But it's mostly that, being from the 80s and having grown up in that time, Stranger Things doesn't resonate much with me. I feel like I'm looking at the 80s setting, of course, but the way the kids behave, talk, and act resembles more the post-2000 era.
