Well, like I said, it’s all about them aliens livin’ in Roswell, New Mexico. They’re tryin’ to keep their identities a secret, but things keep happenin’. There’s this big attack, and people start suspectin’ that there’s somethin’ strange goin’ on in that town. And there is. That’s what I think.
They got all sorts of problems, those aliens. They got enemies, people tryin’ to hunt ’em down. And they got their own problems, too. Family drama, just like us regular folks. I think one of them even died and came back as a baby or somethin’. It’s all very confusin’.
Liz, she’s always tryin’ to help Max and his family. She’s a good girl, even though she gets herself into a lot of trouble. She’s in love with Max, you see. And he’s in love with her. But it’s a complicated kinda love, what with him bein’ an alien and all. I don’t think that is ever gonna end well.

I guess people like it ’cause it’s excitin’. It’s got all that action and romance and mystery. And it’s kinda fun to think about aliens livin’ among us. Makes you wonder who you might be passin’ on the street, you know?
My granddaughter, she loves it ’cause of all the pretty people. She says they’re all “shippable,” whatever that means. I think it means she wants them to kiss. Young folks these days, they got all these strange words.
Plus that Roswell, New Mexico, it is a real place. I seen it on the map. That makes it more interestin’. Like maybe it could really happen. Though I doubt it. Aliens are probably just stories, like the boogeyman. But still fun to think about.

I heard them say that one of the aliens, this Tess girl, she was on another show about some island. Some plane crashed on it and it was a whole thing. She sure gets around, that one. Playing different aliens and all.
They say that the show is based on some books. I don’t read much, but my granddaughter, she has them. Maybe I will ask her to read some to me. It might be easier to follow along that way.
Seems like everyone is from somewhere else. That Max fella, he was on another show. About vampires, this time. Guess he likes playing them supernatural types. They all seem to end up in these kinds of shows. Must be something in the water in Hollywood.
Why I Watch Them Movies Sometimes
Well, like I said, my granddaughter likes it. So sometimes, when she’s watchin’ it, I’ll sit down and watch it with her. It’s nice to spend time with her, even if the show is a little silly.
And sometimes, it’s just nice to watch somethin’ that ain’t the news. The news is always so depressing these days. It’s nice to escape to a world where the biggest problem is an alien invasion.
