A fine movie. Too bad Dumas is dead. He would have written a much more thrilling and funny script.
I just watched the 3 musketeers and the 4 musketeers (1970's the best version) last weekend so I HAD to watch this one.

Was ok. Was very removed from the original story which was far more adventurous and swashbuckling with much deeper characters… Or else watch the 70's films The Three Musketeers and The 4 Musketeers which are, together are the only faithful adaptation of the Dumas classic so far.
Had mixed feelings about it. The picture is very dark. I know it was lit by candles back in the day, but still. And it was a whole lot wordy. I like what they were trying to do, and sometimes it worked, if only they could have cared a little bit more.

Started out well, but totally withered out at the end.
The soundtrack was rather epic, but the movie itself was rather sub par. I wanted it to be longer, or perhaps have a second part. Either way, it needed to be drawn out to develop character and storyline. You can't have lines where the bad guys are talking about how "Soon d'Artangon will be fully under our power" if there is no story development, or completion. It was only one part of the plot that was left un-answered. The costuming was okay. For me, the '93 Disney version was better in regards to soundtrack, costuming, acting and plotline.

Whaaaat??? Not sure I can finish this. 18mins in and already not liking the boy. Will try again later on. We'll I did come back to watch this and am still disappointed with the time wasted. The title didn't mention it would be a "Fan film like" movie. So many repeated shots, one sword fight with next to no sword. Long haired men drunkenly push each other about. The Churches supposed fighters against 3 drunk Mousekateers. A waste of film for sure. Don't waste your time as well.
The scenery, clothes, story, are lovely. More like this please…⚔️🤍

Brilliant! The only fault I would find is that the sword fights could have been much more thoroughly blocked out and rehearsed…what little there was, was not up to the excellent standard of the rest of the film.
