Well, let me tell you, I saw this movie, “The Glass House,” the other day. Lord have mercy, it was somethin’. It got me thinkin’ about other movies like the glass house. You know, the kind that keeps you on the edge of your seat, not knowin’ what’s gonna happen next. That Glass House, it was about these kids, Ruby and her little brother. Their folks died, real sad, and they went to live with these folks in a big ol’ fancy house, made all of glass.
But somethin’ wasn’t right about them folks, the ones takin’ care of ’em. Turns out, they weren’t so nice after all. It was a real nail-biter, I tell ya. So, I got to thinkin’, what other movies similar to the glass house are out there? Movies that give you that same kinda thrill.
I remember one called “The Wolf Hour” or somethin’ like that. It was kinda like that, all suspenseful and what not. These kinda movies, they just stick with ya, you know? They’re like that itch you just can’t scratch. You keep thinkin’ about ’em, wonderin’ what you woulda done in that situation. The Glass House, it reminded me a bit of another one, “The Stepfather.” That was a doozy too. All about a man, not who he seemed to be.
Now, I ain’t no fancy movie critic. I just like a good story, somethin’ that keeps me guessin’. And there’s a bunch of movies like the glass house out there, if you know where to look. I heard there’s like, 76 or somethin’, all in that same vein. That’s a whole lot of shivers down your spine, ain’t it? Some folks told me about some website, or something, where you can find all these movies that are alike. Maybe it is called letterboxd, but I do not know much about these things. You need a computer, I reckon.
I heard folks talkin’ ’bout other ones too, like “Swimfan.” Sounds kinda fishy to me, but I guess it’s got that same kinda thrill. These movies like the glass house, they’re like a good pot of beans. They stick to your ribs, keep you thinkin’ long after they’re gone. You just want to look for these movies on those streaming things. I think they are called Netflix, iTunes and Amazon or something like that.
They say this Glass House movie, you can watch it on somethin’ called “Amazon Prime.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? I reckon you gotta pay for it though. Nothin’s free these days, is it? This movie, The Glass House, it’s got that gal, Leelee somethin’, and some other folks. They’re all good actors, I suppose. They sure made me believe it all, that’s for sure. People lost their parents in the movie, it is really sad.
Some folks say this Glass House is a real good thriller. Not like them other ones, where it’s just a bunch of jump scares and whatnot. This one, it’s got somethin’ more to it. It’s like a slow burn, creepin’ up on ya. I remember watchin’ it with my family, way back when. We used to rent movies from a place called “Hollywood Video.” Don’t know if they’re still around, though.

There is a movie called “Glass”, they killed somebody in that movie. Some group wanted to tell those people with some power that they are just normal. I do not understand these super power things. I only know there are some movies called “Unbreakable”, “Split” and “Glass”. They are about super power.
Anyway, if you like a good scare, a movie that keeps you guessin’, then you should check out movies similar to the glass house. They’re out there, waitin’ to give you the chills. I like that kind of movies, it is good. You should watch that kind of movies, too. It is good for you, I think. It makes you think, makes you feel something. That is important, especially now.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’m gonna go watch somethin’ on the TV. Maybe somethin’ with a little less glass, though. Gives me the willies.
