Well, let me tell you, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this new windsor movie theater. Sounds like a right fancy place. I ain’t been to the pictures in a coon’s age, but back in my day, it was a real treat. We’d get all gussied up, even if it was just to sit in the dark!

This place in Windsor, they say it’s on Walker Road. 4611 Walker Road, Windsor, N8W 3T6, ON, to be exact, some youngin’ told me. Big ol’ buildin’, I reckon. Probably got them comfy seats that lean back and all. We used to just have them hard wooden ones. Made your backside sore if the movie was too long!

They say you can buy your tickets online now. Imagine that! No more standin’ in line, I suppose. Though standin’ in line was half the fun, seein’ who else was goin’ to the show. You could catch up on all the gossip, you know. And they got a website, too, where you can check the movie times. It is called Landmark Cinema Windsor, I heard.

Now, if you’re goin’ to this new windsor movie theater, you best be on your best behavior. Don’t be makin’ out in the seats. That’s just rude, you know, loud, too! A little peck on the cheek is fine, but keep it down. Some folks are there to watch the picture show, not listen to your smoochin’.

And get there early! At least 15, maybe 30 minutes before the show starts. Gives you time to find a parkin’ spot. Lord knows parkin’ can be a mess these days. And you can get your snacks, too.

They got all kinds of goodies at the movies now. Popcorn, candy, them big sodas. Back in my day, we were lucky if we got a box of Milk Duds. And we shared ’em, too! Nowadays, everyone gets their own bucket of popcorn, big as your head! Don’t need that much, really.

  • Get your tickets online.
  • Don’t be rude, keep your smoochin’ to a minimum.
  • Arrive early, at least 15-30 minutes.
  • Get your snacks, popcorn, candy, all of that.

Speakin’ of treats, sometimes, goin’ out is good for ya. You see other people, catch up with your friends. That’s good for your mind and soul. These days, with all them little screens, folks don’t talk much face to face anymore. A shame, really.

This Windsor place, I hear it ain’t much to look at. They don’t care ’bout keepin’ the old buildings nice, some say. It’s all new, new, new. But I guess that’s how it goes. This theater is probably all shiny and new, too. I hear there’s this new thing called Windows 11. I don’t know nothin’ about that. Some say it’s on computers. I like my old windows just fine. I can see the birds outside, that’s all I need.

And speakin’ of old things, you gotta take care of yourself. Eat your vitamins. Good for your bones, your blood, everything. We didn’t have all them fancy pills they have now. We just ate what we grew in the garden. Good, honest food. You don’t need much, but you gotta have the right stuff. Minerals and all that. Keeps you goin’.

That Windsor Castle, now that’s somethin’ to see. I saw pictures once. Big and fancy. Lots of history there. They say you can’t take pictures inside. Probably for the best. Some things are just meant to be seen with your own eyes, not on a little screen.

Nowadays, everyone’s got their noses stuck in them phones, even at the movies! Back in my day, we paid attention to the picture show. That’s what you paid for! These young folks today, they don’t know how good they got it. All these fancy theaters, all these choices. We only had one screen in town, and we liked it!

I reckon this new windsor movie theater is a good thing, though. Gives folks somethin’ to do. Gets ’em out of the house. And maybe they’ll even talk to each other, instead of just lookin’ at their phones. A body can hope, can’t they?

This world is gettin’ too complicated, if you ask me. All these new things. Smart homes, they call ’em. I like my home just the way it is. Don’t need it to be smart. Just need it to be a home. Yeah. I remember the day. We don’t need much fancy stuff to be happy. Just some good friends, good food, and maybe a good movie every now and then.
