It's always the same when studios think they can turn out a sequel to milk the audiences of more of their money. They just think they can repackage and send it out again with different actors.. TV companies make the same mistake, churning out copies of old comedy progs and expecting the laughs to come as before. Come on guys, stop repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome… It only works if the story line is good and is a continuation, like Harry Potter or James Bond… Just doing the same movie as a remake never works unless it's a modern take on a silent movie… Even Mary Poppins 2 was struggling…

A friend and I saw the movie Easy Rider in 1969 one night at the movie theater on the college campus. Even though pot was illegal the aroma of pot was so strong through out the theater that you didn’t have to have your own joint or pipe. When we came out of the theater it was dark out. We looked up at the moon which happened to be full and It looked like it had a silver ring around it like Saturn. My friend and I thought of it being an omen and related to how Easy Rider ended. About that time I had my first motorcycle. In 1971 I got a summer job with the US Forest Service in Oregon. At that time I had a Yamaha R5 350 twin 2 cycle . Instead of driving a car I decided to ride my motorcycle all the way from Michigan to the job in Oregon. Near the end of the summer I traded it in for a new 1971 Yamaha xs650 twin 4 cycle. When the job ended I rode it to Fort Worth, Texas, to visit relatives. I then rode it back to Michigan. Easy Rider may have inspired me to do the riding across country. I had a couple of adventures on the trips but nothing like the movie.
