Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about movies, them picture shows, like that War Dogs one. You know, the one with them young fellas doin’ all that gun-runnin’ stuff. If you liked that, well, I got some more you might like too, see?
First off, there’s this Moneyball movie. Now, it ain’t got no guns or nothin’, but it’s about this fella, Brad Pitt, he’s tryin’ to win at baseball, but he ain’t got no money. So, he gotta be smart, real smart. It’s kinda like them War Dogs boys, thinkin’ outside the box, you know? Gotta use your brain, even if you ain’t got the muscle.
Then there’s this Big Short movie. This one’s about money too, but it’s about how them city slickers messed up the whole dang country with their fancy bankin’ tricks. Confusin’ as all get-out, but it shows you how them fellas can make a pile of money, kinda like in War Dogs, but way more complicated, with lots more zeros at the end. Made my head spin, it did.
Now, some folks told me about movies that are real similar. Said there’s a whole bunch, like 64 of ‘em! Can you believe that? 64 movies just like that War Dogs one. They said somethin’ about a place called “Letterboxd,” sounds fancy, I don’t know. They even got a movie called The Gentlemen, and another one called The Nice Guys. Never seen ’em myself, but they say it’s the same kinda feel, you know? Fellas gettin’ into trouble, makin’ deals, all that jazz.
- The Gentlemen – Heard it’s got some smooth talkin’ fellas, just like in War Dogs.
- The Nice Guys – They say this one’s funny, but with some action too.
And if you’re lookin’ for movies on them computin’ machines, like that “Net-flicks” thing my grandkids talk about, or that “Eye-Tunes” place, or that “Amazon” where you can buy anything from soup to nuts, well, they got movies like War Dogs too. You just gotta look around, poke around, like lookin’ for eggs in the henhouse, you know? You might find somethin’ good.
Someone told me about another movie called The Social Network. It ain’t about guns or wars, but it’s about this fella makin’ a whole lotta money from that Facebook thingy, all them young’uns are always on. It kinda shows you how fellas can get rich and famous from smart ideas, just like them War Dogs fellas, but without the danger.
Oh, and there’s one called Pain & Gain. Now, this one’s got some muscles in it. Some fellas gettin’ all beefed up and doin’ some crazy stuff for money. Kinda like War Dogs, but with more weights and less guns, I reckon.
So, there you have it. A whole mess of movies, like that War Dogs, that you might like. Some funny, some serious, some about money, some about fellas gettin’ into trouble. Just gotta pick one and see if it suits your fancy. It ain’t rocket science, just good ol’ entertainment. You just find what you like and enjoy it, that’s what I always say. Don’t let nobody tell you what to watch!
Remember that fella Bumpy Johnson? Yeah, well he got hisself into some trouble too, I hear. They made movies about that, but they’re a different kinda story altogether. So, stick with my recommendations, and you’ll be alright.
And one more thing! Don’t go spendin’ all your hard-earned money on these movies, now. Borrow ’em from the library if you can, or wait till they come on that TV thing. Money don’t grow on trees, you know!
