Alright, so I recently got my hands on this “Top 100 Horror Movies Scratch Off Poster,” and let me tell you, it’s been a fun, spooky ride so far. I’m a big horror movie fan, but I’m also a bit of a scaredy-cat, so this seemed like the perfect way to challenge myself and maybe discover some new favorites.

Getting Started

First off, I unrolled the poster. It’s pretty big, which is cool because it makes a statement on my wall. The design is neat – little squares with the movie titles hidden under a scratch-off layer. It’s like a giant, scary lottery ticket!

The Scratching Begins

I decided I wouldn’t just go in order, that would be boring. I picked a few movies I’d already seen, just to get the satisfaction of scratching something off right away. “The Exorcist”? Check. “Halloween”? Obviously. “A Nightmare on Elm Street”? You betcha. Scratched those suckers right off. It’s oddly satisfying, like popping bubble wrap, but with more horror movie goodness.

Watching and Cringing

Then came the real challenge. Choosing movies I hadn’t seen. I started with some of the “classics” that I’d always heard about but never gotten around to. “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” made me jump out of my skin about ten times. “Psycho”? Still creepy after all these years! I’m watching these, often with the lights on and a pillow to hide behind, mind you.

  • Watched “The Shining” – what a mind-bender!
  • Tried “Ringu” (the original Japanese version of “The Ring”) – subtitles and all, super spooky.
  • Conquered my fear of clowns (sort of) with “It” (the older one).
  • Finally “Martyrs” – I have been watched!

The Progress (and the Fear)

My Poster looking is pretty cool now, with a bunch of squares scratched off, revealing the movie titles underneath. It’s like a visual representation of my growing (and slightly terrified) horror movie knowledge. My wife think it is cool also!

I’m not gonna lie, some of these movies are seriously intense. I’ve had a few nights where I’ve had trouble sleeping, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right? I’ve still got a long way to go, but I’m determined to scratch off every single square. Maybe by next Halloween, I’ll be a true horror movie expert… or at least, a slightly less terrified one.

Overall, it’s a fantastic thing to have.
