There’s all kinds of surprises in this one. It’s got monsters, traps, and a whole lotta mystery. It starts off simple, like any old horror movie, but trust me, it’ll twist your brain all up. Some say it’s a parody, some say it’s a new kinda horror. Either way, it’s somethin’ you ain’t seen before. Definitely worth a watch if ya like a good ol’ surprise!

2. Prometheus

Now, this one’s a bit more fancy, with all them spaceships and aliens. Ridley Scott done brought us this one, and it’s a prequel to his old ‘Alien’ movies. Ain’t no simple creature terrorizin’ the folks here, it’s something big, something dark, and it makes you wonder where we all came from. Folks sayin’ it’s a mix of sci-fi and horror, but let me tell ya, it’s creepy! There’s all them strange creatures and them creepy scientists doin’ things they shouldn’t. 4. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Now, this one is a bit wild. Imagine ol’ Honest Abe himself, but instead of just fightin’ for freedom, he’s also fightin’ vampires! Sounds a bit crazy, don’t it? But let me tell ya, it’s got its moments. This one mixes history with horror, and it’s got ol’ Abe swingin’ an axe like no one’s business. The vampires, well, they ain’t your usual kind. They’re mean, they’re tough, and they got a whole plan to take over the country. If you like somethin’ that’s a bit out there, but still got that horror feel to it, then this might be your cup of tea.

5. The Innkeepers

Now, ‘The Innkeepers’ is one of them quiet ones. Ain’t no big explosions or monsters jumpin’ out at ya. It’s about two folks workin’ at an old inn that’s got a haunted past. Real slow build-up, and it gets right into your bones. They start hearin’ all sorts of noises, and things start happenin’ that they just can’t explain. Some say it’s a ghost story, but it feels more like a mystery that gets darker and darker. If you’re into ghostly things and don’t mind a little slow pace, this one’s worth a try.

6. Piranha 3DD

Now, I ain’t sayin’ this is high-class cinema or nothin’, but ‘Piranha 3DD’ sure does know how to make ya laugh and squirm at the same time. It’s got them killer fish again, and this time, they’re causing all sorts of trouble at a water park. It’s one of them movies that’s just all about the gore and the fun, with a whole lotta silly moments. Ain’t much to think about here, just blood, fish, and a whole lotta chaos. Sometimes, that’s all you need!

7. ParaNorman

Now, don’t go thinkin’ this is just for the young’uns! ‘ParaNorman’ is a stop-motion animated flick, and it’s got some real spooky moments. This boy, Norman, he can talk to ghosts, and he’s got to save his town from a zombie apocalypse. It’s got that family-friendly feel, but let me tell ya, it’s got some real creepy moments, too. A nice little mix of horror and comedy, and it’s perfect if you want somethin’ light but still a little eerie.

8. The Bay

Now, ‘The Bay’ is one of them found footage movies, and it’s about a creepy outbreak in a small town. The story is told through news footage and recordings, and it’s all about these strange things happenin’ in the water. It’s one of them movies that just keeps buildin’ up the suspense, and by the end, it’ll have ya lookin’ at the water a little differently. If you like your horror to feel real and close to home, then ‘The Bay’ will get ya.

9. The Pact

In ‘The Pact,’ a woman is dealin’ with the death of her mama and the strange disappearance of her sister. As she digs deeper, things start to get real spooky, and she finds herself in a mess she don’t understand. It’s a ghost story with a twist, and it’ll have ya thinkin’ twice before you trust anybody. If you like a mystery mixed with your ghosts, this one’ll keep ya on your toes.

So, there ya go, a list of them horror movies from 2012. Some of ’em’ll make you laugh, some’ll make you jump, and some’ll just mess with your mind. But one thing’s for sure, they all brought somethin’ new to the table. If you got a hankerin’ for some spooky flicks, maybe these will do the trick!
