Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about movie theaters in Roswell, New Mexico. I ain’t no fancy city slicker, so don’t expect no big words or nothin’. Just plain talk, like it is.

First off, you got yer Apex 10. Seems like a big place, ten screens they say. Folks go there, watch their movies, eat their popcorn. Heard tell they got all sorts of movies, new ones, old ones, even them 3D ones where stuff jumps right out at ya! Now, that ain’t for me, gives me the heebie-jeebies. But the young’uns, they love it. Price? Well, that depends. If you go before four in the afternoon, it’s cheaper, like seven dollars and fifty cents. After that, it goes up to nine fifty, unless you’re a young’un or an old-timer like me, then it’s still cheaper.

Then there’s the Gallaxy 8 Cinema, run by them Allen Theaters folks. Eight screens there, a bit smaller than Apex. Heard it’s a good place too, not as fancy maybe, but good enough. They got deals on Tuesdays, five bucks a ticket, can’t beat that with a stick! Regular prices are about the same as Apex, maybe a little less for the old-timers and young’uns. They got that 3D stuff too, costs ya a couple extra bucks for that.

  • Apex 10: Big place, lots of screens.
  • Gallaxy 8 Cinema: Smaller, but cheaper on Tuesdays.
  • Del Norte Twin Theater: Ain’t heard much about this one, but it’s in town.

Now, there’s this Del Norte Twin Theater too. Can’t say I know much about it, being a twin and all. Must be two screens, I reckon. Probably shows older movies, maybe cheaper too. Don’t see many folks talkin’ about it though. Maybe it’s a hidden gem, or maybe it’s just… old.

Speaking of old, Roswell’s got that UFO museum. Not a movie theater, mind you, but folks come from all over to see it. Guess they like them aliens and such. Me? I ain’t never seen no alien, but I ain’t sayin’ they ain’t real neither. This world’s a funny place, full of surprises.

Finding showtimes ain’t hard these days. Them young’uns with their fancy phones and computers, they just look it up online. Fandango, they call it. Tells you what movies are playin’, where they’re playin’, and when. Handy, I guess, if you’re into that sort of thing. I still like the newspaper, but they don’t print much about movies no more.

Prices, well, they ain’t cheap, but what is these days? Like I said, you can save a few bucks if you go early or on Tuesdays. And if you’re takin’ the whole family, well, that adds up quick. Better bring a big ol’ purse, ’cause popcorn and drinks ain’t free neither. But hey, it’s a treat, right? Sometimes you just gotta splurge a little.

Heard tell there’s a movie theater somewhere in India with sixteen screens! Sixteen! Can you imagine? Must be like a whole town in there. And they got folks that specialize in makin’ the sound just right in them theaters. Acousti- somethin’ or other, they call ‘em. Fancy stuff, I tell ya. Roswell ain’t got nothin’ like that, but we got enough to keep us entertained.

So, if you’re in Roswell and want to catch a flick, you got a few choices. Apex, Gallaxy, maybe that Del Norte place. Just depends on what you’re lookin’ for and how much you wanna spend. And if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll see a movie about aliens while you’re here. After all, this is Roswell.

Now, I heard some new movie just came out and it’s doin’ real good at the box office. “Red One” they call it. I don’t know nothin’ about it, but if it’s popular, it must be playin’ in Roswell somewhere. You can check them showtimes online or just drive around till you see a theater. That’s how we used to do it back in the day.

Anyway, that’s about all I know about movie theaters in Roswell. Hope it helps ya out. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. Got a hankerin’ for some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. That’s real entertainment, I tell ya.
