Alright, so I’ve been meaning to share this experience for a while now. It’s about those Vanguard Animation movies. You know, the ones that kind of flew under the radar but still had some interesting stuff going on. I was curious about what they had produced, so I started digging.
First off, I pulled up my trusty search engine and typed in “Vanguard Animation movies.” The first few results were the usual suspects – list of films, the company’s background, that sort of thing. Turns out, Vanguard Animation was founded in 2002. This studio isn’t a big name, but it’s definitely been around the block.
I started making a list of their movies. One of the first ones I noticed was “Space Chimps.” I remember seeing some buzz about that one way back when. Then there was this other title, “A.C.O.R.N.S.: Operation Crackdown.” Sounds like a mouthful, right? I added it to my list anyway. There were a few others mentioned, like “Citizen Siege,” “Buzby,” and “Alien Rock.” I jotted those down too, even though I hadn’t heard of most of them.
I decided to focus on the ones that seemed more readily available. “Space Chimps” was definitely one of them. I found out there was even a sequel, “Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back.”
Digging Deeper
Next, I wanted to see what people were saying about these movies. I hit up some forums and review sites. The reception was pretty mixed, to be honest. Some folks enjoyed the movies for what they were – simple, fun, animated flicks. Others were less impressed. It wasn’t like Disney or Pixar level, but hey, not every movie has to be, right?
From the articles I read, I found that Vanguard Animation wasn’t just about the movies I already listed. There were some upcoming projects mentioned, like “Alien Rock Band” and another “Buzby” project. Sounds like they had some things in the pipeline.

While I was at it, I stumbled upon a list of the “50 Best New Animated Movies.” It mentioned some big titles like “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” which got me a little sidetracked, reminiscing about the good old days of stop-motion. But, back to Vanguard.
Wrapping It Up
So, after all this digging, I realized Vanguard Animation is one of those studios that’s been quietly chugging along, putting out movies that might not be blockbusters but still have their own charm. It was a fun little research project, and it reminded me that there’s a whole world of animation out there beyond the big names.
