  1. Watching on the 86th anniversary of the radio play. The 1953 George Pall movie is my favorite. Scares the he'll out of me even today. The 2005 Spielberg movie is a close second. But I do have a soft spot for anything and everything War of the Worlds. Thanks for sharing this version.

  2. It's like a bunch of disconnected segments and ideas that they have assembled into a movie. The effects are OK but you can really tell they are effects. It gets very slow and esoteric. The acting is marginal…it holds your attention, but I can't figure out why…It gets really stupid in spots with dreams and visions…I almost bailed a couple of time…cars all around and nobody thinks to drive. The ending is sorta lame…another disjointed segment.

  3. On a scale of 1-10, this is a solid 2. How is it possible to redo a 1953 syfy movie (based upon a 1895 book) 70 years later, with modern cinematology and computers and create such a disaster?

  4. I think the worst one of these films was the one that had that prick cruise in the most unbelievable pathetic im the hero in every thing he is in actor

  5. I actually didn’t think this version of war of the worlds was all that bad. I agree that they probably had a low budget, but given that it was a decent flick. This is how I feel about war of the worlds any rendition it’s OK with me the more the merrier. It’s a timeless movie.
