Alright, so you wanna know where they made that Snow White and the Huntsman movie, huh? I heard folks talkin’ about it down at the market. Big movie, they said. Lots of fancy folks and pretty places.
Well, lemme tell ya, most of the inside stuff, you know, where they had all them fancy rooms and such, they did that at a place called Pinewood Studios. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Probably a big place with lots of lights and people runnin’ around.
But the real pretty parts, the outside stuff, that’s where it gets interestin’. They went to a place called Wales, way over in the UK. Heard it’s real green over there, lots of hills and such. Specifically, they went to a beach called Marloes Sands. Marloes Sands, remember that name, that’s where a lot of the magic happened.
Now, this Marloes Sands beach, it ain’t just any beach, mind you. It’s got these big ol’ cliffs and rocks, real dramatic lookin’. They filmed that big fight scene there, the one at the end where everybody’s yellin’ and sword fightin’. And that part where Snow White finds that white horse at the beginnin’? Yep, that was Marloes Sands too.
- Pinewood Studios: All the indoor scenes, castles and such.
- Marloes Sands, Wales: Beach scenes, big fight scene, cliffs.
They even made a castle lookin’ thing on top of a little island called Gateholm Island, right there off the beach. That was supposed to be the bad queen’s castle, Ravenna or somethin’ like that. Mean lookin’ woman, that one. Saw her picture in a magazine at the store.
And get this, they didn’t just stay in one spot in Wales. They went to another place called the Lake District. Sounds like a nice place for a picnic, don’t it? There, they filmed in a big, ol’ cave called Cathedral Quarries. Said it looked real jagged and magnificent. Guess that’s where Snow White and that huntsman guy walked through on their journey.

So, to recap, they were all over the place makin’ that movie. Pinewood Studios for the inside stuff, Marloes Sands in Wales for the beach and cliffs, and the Lake District for that cave. Sounds like they did a lot of travelin’, those movie folks.
I heard that Kristen Stewart girl was Snow White. Pretty little thing, but kinda skinny. And that big, strong Chris Hemsworth fella, he was the huntsman. He’s a looker, that one. And that mean queen, Charlize Theron, she was somethin’ else. Real scary.
They spent a whole week at Marloes Sands filmin’ that big battle scene. Can you imagine? A whole week! Must’ve been a lot of work, all them people runnin’ around, yellin’ and fightin’. But I guess that’s what it takes to make a big movie like that.
So there ya have it. That’s where they filmed Snow White and the Huntsman. Pinewood Studios, Marloes Sands in Wales, and the Lake District. Hope that helps ya out. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go get my chickens fed.
Oh, and that movie came out in 2012, just so ya know. Seems like just yesterday, but time flies, don’t it?

And it wasn’t just a regular story, they said it was a “twist” on the old fairy tale. Guess they changed things up a bit, made it more excitin’ or somethin’. I ain’t seen it myself, but folks said it was pretty good.
