Okay, so the other day I was thinking, “I haven’t been to the movies in ages!” And you know what? I really wanted to catch a Filipino flick. So, I did a little digging to see what was playing and how to get tickets. Here’s how it all went down.
First, I hit up the internet to see what my options were. I just typed in something like “Filipino movies in theaters” into the search bar. I found a few websites that listed showtimes for major cinemas like SM Cinema and Robinsons. It was pretty easy to navigate and see what movies were currently showing. I was also looking for trailers at that time, which was so exciting.
Once I picked a movie that looked interesting, I had to figure out the ticket situation. It seemed like buying them online was the way to go. A few different sites offered online booking, and they all looked pretty legit. I noticed that the ticket prices weren’t too bad, either. I think they were like 200 pesos on the low end, but I saw some that were way more, like 1,000 pesos! It really depended on when and where you were going to see the movie.
Anyway, I compared a couple of the ticketing sites and found one that had a pretty easy-to-use interface. I picked my movie, the date, and the showtime. Then, I just had to enter my payment info, and boom, I had my tickets! They sent them straight to my email, which was super convenient. They also have this function that allows you to earn double rewards.
- Checking showtimes online is way easier than it used to be.
- You can usually find trailers online to get a better idea of what the movie is about.
- Buying tickets online is super convenient and saves you time at the theater.
- Ticket prices can vary a lot, so it’s good to shop around.
Here are a few things I learned during this whole process:
Overall, it was a pretty smooth experience getting my movie tickets. I was stoked to finally see a Filipino movie on the big screen again! I think next time I’ll try another ticketing site to see if I can get even better deals. Maybe I’ll even splurge on one of those fancy VIP theaters one day!
