Okay, so, let’s talk about this show “Obliterated” on Netflix. I started watching it because, well, I heard there was a lot of, ahem, nudity. Yeah, I know, not exactly highbrow, but hey, we all have our guilty pleasures, right?
So I fired up Netflix, found the show, and hit play. The first couple of episodes were pretty wild. Like, seriously, full-frontal stuff everywhere. I was actually kind of shocked! I mean, I’ve seen my fair share of R-rated stuff, but this was on another level. I even remember reading some comments online where people were saying the same thing, like, “I’ve never seen so many dks in a show!” It was pretty crazy. But then, the scenes with all those… parts disappeared. I was kind of scratching my head, wondering what happened.
I did some digging around, and it turns out Netflix sometimes pulls those kinds of scenes from their shows and movies. I guess it’s a thing they do. But it seemed strange that these types of scenes would disappear while the show was still pretty violent. I guess someone must have gotten uncomfortable. I found an article about one of the actors, Shelley Hennig, and she even apologized to her family for some of the scenes she was in. She was one of the main characters, along with this guy Nick Zano.
- I started watching “Obliterated” for the nudity.
- The first few episodes were very explicit.
- The nude scenes were suddenly removed.
- Netflix sometimes removes explicit content.
- Shelley Hennig apologized for her R-rated scenes.
The show itself is kind of like a parody of those action shows from back in the day. Lots of over-the-top action, some funny one-liners, you know the type. It’s not exactly a masterpiece, but it was entertaining enough. But after those early episodes, it kind of lost its steam. I heard it won’t even get a second season. It’s a shame because the beginning was promising. The show just went too hard too fast, and it burned itself out. I guess it’s like what they say: everything in moderation.
My Thoughts
Overall, “Obliterated” was a bit of a letdown. It started strong but fizzled out quickly. And the whole disappearing nudity thing was just weird. I guess if you’re looking for a mindless action show with some laughs, you might enjoy it. Just don’t expect anything too deep, and don’t get too attached to the, uh, scenery. But I still had fun. Although it wasn’t what I expected, I still enjoyed watching it. And I realized that even though some content was removed, it didn’t really take away from the overall experience. But it’s a shame that they felt the need to remove it in the first place.
