Listen up, y’all! Movies in Monticello, Indiana, ain’t nothin’ to sneeze at! If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, why not catch a flick? We got this Peacock Theatre, right on Main Street. They show all sorts of movies, any day you want.
Don’t know what’s playin’? Well, you can just look it up! Find them showtimes, see what tickles your fancy. They got movies for everyone, even picky folks like my grandson Billy. He always wants action, action, action! But sometimes, I like a good cry, you know?

Now, there’s also this Twin Lake Cinema 12. Same town, Monticello. Heard they got lots of screens, so plenty of movies to choose from. Again, check them showtimes. No point in showin’ up and findin’ out they playin’ some space movie when you wanted a love story, right?
Want to find a theater near you? Just search them online! You can see all the theaters in Monticello, where they are, and even get their phone numbers. If you’re old like me, you might wanna call and ask ’em what’s playin’. Easier than squintin’ at them tiny letters on the computer.
Monticello ain’t just movies, you know. We got that Indiana Beach place, and them lakes – Shafer and Freeman. Folks come from all over! Bet they like watchin’ movies too. Maybe they filmed some movies here in Indiana. Don’t rightly know, but they filmed some in other places around here. That Pearl Harbor one, and that Nightmare one, scared the pants off me just hearin’ about it!
One thing though, them theater times? Don’t you believe ’em! They always show a bunch of commercials first. So if it says 7 o’clock, you might not see the movie ’til half past! Learned that the hard way, missin’ the beginnin’ of my stories. Now I just show up whenever I feel like it.
Fandango, they say, helps you find showtimes and tickets. Never used it myself, but the young folks seem to like it. Anything to make life easier, I guess. Just want to see my stories, don’t care how I get there.
