4. Ex Machina (2014)
Another one for ya to check out is “Ex Machina.” Now, it’s not about the same kinda thing as “Splice,” but it’s got that science twist. It’s all about robots, AI, and the ethics of makin’ somethin’ that’s almost human. It’s got that slow burn tension, and you’ll be thinkin’ long after the movie’s over, just like “Splice” did to ya.
5. The Fly (1986)
Ahh, “The Fly.” This here one’s an oldie but a goodie. If you ever wondered what might happen if ya played around too much with science, well, this one’s a real eye-opener. It’s about a scientist who turns himself into, well, a fly. Real creepy stuff, and the whole transformation makes ya squirm, just like some parts of “Splice” did. Plus, it’s got that body horror element that’ll have ya lookin’ away every now and then.

If you liked the weird science experiments in “Splice,” then “Annihilation” might just be the movie for you. Now, I’ve got to warn ya, this one’s a bit more on the gross side, but if you liked the “science gone wrong” theme in “Splice,” you might find “The Human Centipede” interestin’. It’s one of those movies that’ll have you squirming and thinking, “How in the world did anyone come up with this idea?” It’s disturbing, sure, but it fits right into that genre of freaky science horrors.
9. I Am Legend (2007)
This one here’s about a world where people got turned into somethin’ else due to a virus, and it deals with some of them same themes of humanity messin’ with science. It ain’t exactly the same, but it’s got the horror and sci-fi mix that’ll remind ya of “Splice.” It’ll make you think about what happens when things go wrong with experiments and technology.
10. 28 Days Later (2002)
Last but not least, “28 Days Later” is another one you might like. It’s not about DNA splicing or experiments, but it does deal with a virus that spreads and changes people into somethin’ else. It’s that same idea of the world goin’ haywire because of science, and it’s a real nail-biter, just like the creepy parts of “Splice.”
